For the second year running g8wave have been selected to provide the text alert service via Live-Text for gigsandtours from Orange.

This popular service is about to be opened up to a much wider user base and this expansion will be backed by a TV advertising campaign.

gigsandtours from Orange is an exclusive gig ticket reservation service for Orange customers. The service is powered by the ticketing website gigsandtours.com partnered with Velti DR and g8wave's Live-Text mobile communicator. Orange customers can sign up to reserve tickets to their favourite bands' gigs, up to 48-hours before they go on sale to the general public.

After registering at Orange – gigsandtours, users will be able to reserve and buy gig tickets through Orange World with no waiting on the phone, no queuing and no hassle. Customers are sent text messages through our Live-text application giving them the option to reserve tickets before they go on general sale. The customer can reply by text to reserve tickets and a further text is sent from the application confirming the reservation. Finally a text is sent out to the customer when the reserved tickets are available to buy. A click on the link embedded within the text message will take the consumer to their Account page on gigsandtours from Orange on Orange World where they can complete their order and make their purchase.
