g8wave’s Managing Director, Mark Challinor, was asked to speak at
the recent Publish Asia conference in Macau, China.
At the event were many
of the top CEOs and MDs of some of the major newspaper groups
across the continent, from Singapore to India; Jordan to Dubai.
Mr Challinor gave an address on “Mobile as a new Media
Channel” and told the audience of over 300 that mobile
can be an excellent interaction tool, database builder and
new revenue stream. He emphasised the power of mobile to repurpose
newspaper content, enabling constant contact with readerships.
He also presented the company’s bespoke International
Text Chat product, which allows dating services to be brought
into the 21st century by providing a fully interactive mobile,
web and print service with online galleries, text match alerts
and email updates.
As a result of the presentation, g8wave will be providing consultancy
services to a number of newspapers across China and Singapore
in the coming months.
