We have implemented a new join process on our dating websites. Our aim is to increase the number of users joining the service by making the site simpler and quicker to join and offering members a more effective and impactful profile page.

The new join process comprises of four easy but continuous steps:

First, users are asked for a nickname and to aid the user, we've introduced a search field that scours the database and offers a solution if it is not unique, saving the user time and possible frustration.

Second, we've brought forward 'Tell us more' where members are able to describe themselves and who they'd like to meet in their own words. This will make the profile more personal to the member and add value and further interest to the searcher.

To increase the number of members displaying photos on their profile we have now included 'photo upload' within the join process. New members will now find it much easier to add photos and, as a result, improve their chances of finding a match.

Additionally, we now promote the recording of a member voice greeting, a private message which members can listen to when matched or when they want to leave a reply. The service also offers an automated call-back facility where the service calls back at a pre-selected time chosen by the user.

And finally, we have designed a new member-profile page with a fresh-looking, clear layout that's uncomplicated and offers a simple contact choice.
